Web site redesign for Three Crows Cafe & Coffee House, a Delano, MN establishment that until the Crow River overtook the building, offered "Real Food, Great Music, and Peace in the World". An eclectic and local community meeting place, Three Crows' website featured event calendars, regular and special event menus, monthly artist pages, e-commerce, and a blog from owner Gina Coburn.
Attorney Cara Wittwer wanted her site to provide a calm user experience with local scenic imagery, easy navigation to important attorney information, and direct links to downloadable forms.
Users of this web site view historic photographs and newspaper stories, download high res images, read about ongoing and future society projects, apply for membership, and donate online.
Started in 1954, this family owned business with a reputation for technical skill and trustworthy service, wanted a web design that highlighted their 60 year track record of quality. Starting with a Squarespace template, I created a customized site that describes their services, details their cleaning processes, and shares long-term customer testimonials. Using Squarespace's online tutorials and guides, my client is able to update their own site content as needed.
Artistic Me provides supplies, studio space and classes in paint your own pottery, fused glass, and tile mosaic art. After discussing my client's business vision, we worked together to plan content strategy and information architecture, and hired a writer to streamline the story. A high traffic area of this site is the event directory, which I updated regularly until the client felt sufficiently trained and ready to tackle the process. The site includes an e-commerce feature allowing registration and purchases of in-store events.
