The Matchbook Series is a collection of mixed media art by Shari Zimmermann that feature vintage matchbooks from the northern resorts, bars, and cafes of Wisconsin, Minneapolis, and greater Minnesota area.
Each unique work of art features bold mid-century typography and simple, graphic imagery. The matchbooks are a window into the past, providing a glimpse of businesses and places that were once thriving gathering places in their local communities.
